Litman Gregory Senior Advisors Chris Wheaton, CPA, CFP® and Gretchen Hollstein, CFP® have been named by Forbes as two of the Best-in-State Wealth Advisors for 2021. Published on Forbes.com, this annual list spotlights top advisors from across the country who have demonstrated high levels of ethical standards and success in the business. Forbes’ selection process is based on several key factors, including their years of experience, assets under management, compliance records, community involvement, and their approach to working with clients.
“Congratulations to Chris and Gretchen on earning this outstanding recognition for two consecutive years,” said Litman Gregory CEO Steve Savage. “Being included in this Forbes ranking is a testament to how well they, and our broader Litman Gregory team, continue to serve our clients’ interests first, even during the challenges and volatility of the past year.”
“It’s an honor to be recognized for the work we do to support our clients’ financial well-being,” said Hollstein. “Being part of our team of skilled wealth advisors and research analysts, who are all primarily focused on client service, allows us to be both proactive in coordinating our client’s financial situations and responsive to day-to-day needs. We are proud of the decades-long relationships we have built with so many clients.”

The 2021 ranking of the Forbes’ Best-in-State Wealth Advisors list was developed by SHOOK Research and is based on in-person and telephone due-diligence meetings to evaluate each advisor qualitatively and on a ranking algorithm that includes client retention, industry experience, review of compliance records, firm nominations, and quantitative criteria (including assets under management and revenue generated for their firms). Overall, 32,000 advisors from across the U.S. were nominated, and over 15,000 were interviewed by SHOOK Research analysts. This year’s list covered 5,224 financial advisors in the U.S. Neither Forbes nor SHOOK receive a fee in exchange for rankings.
